It is a device intended for travellers with a stroller or with reduced mobility. The door-opening request made using the blue button prevents the automatic closing of the two nearest PMR doors and warns the driver of the increased attention required when manually closing the door. Each tram has two "PMR" buttons located at the first double doors of each carriage.
All new buses are equipped with low floors, which allow easier access. In addition, a controlled-deployment access ramp facilitates the movement of wheelchairs and can be activated provided that the stop has been fitted out.
For the tram, a permanent rim has been installed on all PMR (Persons with Reduced Mobility) accesses of the carriages in order to limit to 3 cm the free space between the platform and the door threshold. We also recommend that you rely on the pictograms located near the doors.
The Métropole Nice Côte d'Azur is strongly committed to making services and public spaces accessible.
