FAQ - Digital: Apps, Website

On the Schedules page, you can:

  • Specify the name or number of the line you are looking for
  • or click on the desired line in the list
  • or specify the name of the stop you are looking for

If you select a line, you will access the detail page of the line where you can change the direction, time and day to view the schedules that interest you. By clicking on a stop, you will access the schedules of the line at that stop for a specific date.

If you select a stop, you will access the list of upcoming departures and the lines passing through the area of the selected stop. By clicking on one of the lines, you will access the schedule view of the line at the selected stop.

You can download, print and share the schedules, but also report an anomaly to us via the 3-dot button, or add the line or the stop to your favourites for quicker access.

Find below some tips for using the website's itinerary planner as efficiently as possible. You can launch it from the home page or the Itinerary page. Particularly interactive, the planner allows you to at any time:

  • change the search criteria
  • view alternative routes
  • modify your departure and arrival points on the map and immediately obtain a new result.

Departure and arrival

To indicate the place of departure and arrival, you can use the input fields or click directly on the interactive map.

Specify the desired date and time for your trip.

If you are registered in the member area, you can use your favourite places to designate your departure or arrival location.

Input and selection of places

For the same input, the database can propose stops, addresses and points of interest (categorised places).

Warning: if you select a stop, the itinerary planner will only look for travel solutions from that stop and connecting stops, generally not beyond a perimeter of 250 metres. That is why we recommend that you use addresses and points of interest instead, in order to obtain the overall fastest routes, even if this means changing options afterwards according to your preferences (fewer changes, more or less walking, etc.).

Indicate your preferences

By default, the "fastest" itinerary is proposed. However, you can launch a recalculation in "fewer changes" mode, which in some cases can simplify the route while only slightly lengthening the total duration.

Set your preferences

The website searches for public transport solutions matching the search criteria entered (such as departure time or with as few changes as possible).

You can modify the walking parameters via the "Itinerary Options" button, such as the maximum desired distance on the route or the estimate of your walking speed.

Consult the results

Each proposed route appears as a button including:

  • the modes of transport to be used
  • the number of changes
  • the distance walked on foot
  • the duration of the trip and the departure and arrival times.

By clicking on the button, you expand its content: a roadmap, a map and various useful functionalities (printing, sharing on social networks, etc.) grouped in the 3-dot button.

To print schedules or a roadmap, you need to click on the 3-dot button at the top of the page and select "Print".

The website pages are designed to print correctly on your personal printer.

Printing is optimised for the standard page format (A4). For an optimal result, your browser's printing must be set to "Fit to page" or "Adjust to page".

Most browsers default back to this option.

To check the print settings, go to the menu under the heading Print or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+P.

Firefox: the standard Print functionality does not offer any settings. Favour the Print Preview.

The itinerary planner compares the environmental impact of the proposed trip with that of the same trip made by car.

The calculation of CO2 production is performed according to the distances covered by each mode and average carbon-production coefficients by mode of transport (gCO2e/passenger.km).

gCO2e: gramme of CO2 equivalent.

Coefficients used by modes of transport:

  • Car: 86.9 kg CO2 eq.
  • Tram: 1.2 kg CO2 eq.
  • Metro: 1.42 kg CO2 eq.
  • Train: 3.87 kg CO2 eq.
  • TER: 3.87 kg CO2 eq.
  • TGV: 55.9 kg CO2 eq.
  • Bus: 55.9 kg CO2 eq.
  • Coach: 25.16 kg CO2 eq.

The car, bus, tram and metro coefficients come from work carried out by the French Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME), in consultation with representatives of French collective transport operators. These coefficients are notably used by the ADEME's eco-calculator.

As ADEME's work did not define a reference coefficient for the Coach mode, Cityway proposes to use the same coefficient as for the Bus.

The TER and TGV train coefficients are those established by SNCF, which notably uses these coefficients for its eco-comparator.

The coefficients used are only averages: recent cars pollute less than older cars, the same applies to buses, coaches or trains, etc. The carbon ratio should therefore be considered only as an indication of the order of magnitude of the carbon savings made by taking public transport — bearing in mind that significantly different results could be obtained for the same trip depending on the calculation assumptions used.

Public transport (PT) distances are calculated as close as possible to the actual itinerary by adding up the distances of each stop-to-stop segment. Private vehicle (PV) distances are calculated based on the road graph.

If you are having difficulty using ticket delivery on your smartphone, here is a quick troubleshooting guide:

  1. App update: Check on the App Store (iOS) or the Google Play Store (Android) that you have the very latest version of the "Lignes d'Azur Tickets" application.
  2. Settings activation: Make sure you have activated the NFC function and/or Bluetooth in your phone's settings. These functions are essential for reading the card and for validation.
  3. Smartphone compatibility: Check that your phone's operating system is up to date and compatible with the technology required by the app.
  4. (Android only) Validation with the phone: Be sure to correctly press the back of your smartphone (at the level of the NFC antenna) against the validator target and wait a few seconds until the audible (beep) and visual (green light) signal.
  5. If none of these solutions resolve your problem, access the "Get help" section directly in the app and select the problem encountered. If the proposed answer does not resolve your malfunction, use the "Contact us" button built into this same section.
