Schedules, Maps & Traffic Info #
To know the real-time schedule of the next passages of your line, several solutions are available to you:
- On the mobile app or the lignesdazur.com website: Go to the "Schedules" section. Warning: real-time schedules can only be consulted by searching by stop. These real-time passages are easily identifiable thanks to a specific logo.
- On the network: Tram stations and BHNS stops of the 8+ and 12+ lines are equipped with passenger information terminals that indicate the exact waiting time before the next two passages.
The biggest cause of observed delays is traffic. Although in some cases we benefit from priority at lights and dedicated lanes, we are dependent on unusual traffic congestion. Our traffic regulation centre is in charge of taking all necessary measures in order to mitigate its consequences for our customers.
You can know the real-time schedule of the next passages of most of your lines on the app and the lignesdazur.com website by consulting the "schedules" (schedule identified by a real-time logo).
At tram stations, electronic displays indicate the passage time of the next two carriages in real time and broadcast information on disruptions. At some bus stops, electronic displays also indicate the passage time of the next two buses.
A connection is not a correspondence, but the place where lines cross and share common stops. It is only about indicating at which stops changes can be made, independently of schedules.
In order to be informed of disruptions/diversions on your line, several solutions are available:
- You can consult the Traffic Info section of your lignesdazur.com website.
- You can create an account on the Lignes d'Azur website, add your usual line and activate the receipt of alerts to receive an email or SMS in case of disruption on your line.
- You can download the "Lignes d'Azur" app to receive a push notification directly on your smartphone.
Your daytime habits are the same in the evening.
The amplitude of the regular lines is extended in the evening from Monday to Sunday.
Go to the "Evening network" section of your lignesdazur.com website.
On-Board Rules & Bulky Items #
You can travel with a stroller on public transport, but it must be folded during periods of high attendance or peak hours.
This obligation does not concern children under two years old.
Access is via the front door on buses, at the PMR (Persons with Reduced Mobility) accesses on the tram.
Only luggage of a dimension of 55x25x35 cm is authorised on board vehicles. These parcels or bags must not be left unattended or abandoned; some lines provide a specific fare for the handling of luggage.
Concerning coaches, notably towards the Haut-Pays (regular lines 90, 91, 92), luggage in the hold is allowed, but limited to one medium-sized bag per passenger.
NB: The Ligne d'Azur network declines all responsibility concerning the loss or theft of any luggage.
No. Luggage carts are strictly forbidden on the tram, even between the two terminals.
For safety reasons, due to the absence of a fitted space on board buses or trams, the transport of bikes as well as very bulky objects is not permitted.
Wearers of rollerblades or roller skates are not accepted on board buses or trams.
Furthermore, it is strictly forbidden to let oneself be towed by holding onto the bodywork of a vehicle. The delegatee cannot be held liable in case of accident.
Scooters and skateboards are allowed on board buses/trams provided they are held under the arm (article 4.7 of the Transport Regulations).
For safety reasons, it is forbidden to board vehicles with animals, with the exception of:
- Small dogs, properly muzzled and kept on a leash on the lap of the person accompanying them.
- Cats, provided they are in a basket or a cage.
- Category 2 and 3 dogs, muzzled and held with a short leash, subject to the possibility of any check of the dog's ownership documents, and only on board trams, not on buses.
- Guide Dog trainees or Guide Dogs for the Blind (with supporting documents). These dogs are exempt from wearing a muzzle.
According to the reference information, only category 2 and 3 dogs are allowed on board if muzzled and held on a short leash, subject to the verification of supporting documents.
An exception to the muzzle obligation is only provided for Guide Dogs for the Blind, whether trainees or confirmed.
No particular tolerance is indicated for other dogs, even with a medical certificate.
Small animals, suitably enclosed in bags or baskets, are also admitted, provided that they cannot soil or inconvenience travellers.
Apart from these cases, the presence of animals on buses and trams is not authorised.
The law on the prohibition of smoking in public and collective places, in force since 1 February 2007, applies to collective transport: buses, trams, stations, agencies, bus terminals.
Any form of busking is forbidden on board vehicles.
Consequently, subject to authorisation issued by Lignes d'Azur, it is forbidden to play a musical instrument on the vehicles.
Specific Lines & Interoperability #
Specific lines are the lines that serve schools.
The Lignes d'Azur network serves many schools of the Métropole Nice Côte d'Azur. To consult the stops and lines near a school, go to the interactive map, enter your establishment and discover the lines nearby.
To consult the list of lines passing through your town and serving a specific school, use the itinerary search.
My Lignes d'Azur subscription allows me to travel on all the regular lines of the Lignes d'Azur Métropolitain network as well as to park at all Parcazur (tram-bus park-and-ride facilities of the Lignes d'Azur network).
On the other hand, it does not allow travel on lines with specific pricing such as the 100% Neige lines. To do so, I must pay the special fare.
On-Demand Transport, corresponding to on-demand Lines, makes it possible to serve less-dense sectors that do not have regular lines. They offer in these sectors a flexibility in terms of schedules and geographical coverage that makes them successful.
The on-demand lines are as follows:
- C1 (Cagnes-sur-Mer)
- C2 (Saint-Laurent-du-Var, Cagnes-sur-Mer, La Gaude)
- C3 (Vence)

During the day, regular lines 49 and 89 become C49 and C89 and operate as On-Demand Lines by reservation.
On-Demand Lines operate by reservation only. This is easily done by phone and online.
Find the operating details and detailed information in the "On-Demand Lines" section.
The On-Demand Sunday: an on-demand transport service on Sundays and public holidays, which runs by reservation only, on the same principle as the On-Demand Lines existing on your Lignes d'Azur network. More information by clicking here.

Find the complete list in the "Our ZOU! interurban lines" section.
These lines do not allow travel within Nice intra muros. Warning: if you wish to go further than these destinations, you must pay the transport ticket subject to departmental pricing as soon as you board, from the driver.
From 1 July 2023, only trips made between the "Nice Centre" station (Libération) and the "Le Chaudan" halt (Utelle municipality) are accessible with Lignes d'Azur pricing.
The validation of your transport ticket gives the right to direct connections between Lignes d'Azur buses and trams and the Chemins de fer de Provence on 18 halts. For trips beyond the "Le Chaudan" (Utelle) halt, only ZOU! pricing applies.
You can go to the Allianz Riviera Stadium with the Chemins de fer de Provence, on match and concert days. Reach the stadium in 15 minutes, departing from the centre of Nice!

Service Principles & Basic Fares #
For children under 4 years old, access to the bus and tram is completely free and does not require any transport ticket.
For children aged 4 to 11 (inclusive), trips are also free. However, it is mandatory to be in possession of a personal subscription card ("Ma Carte"). The creation of this support costs 2 euros (to be paid only once). Subsequently, management fees of 15 euros will be requested each year for its mandatory renewal. More information in the Fare Guide.
Warning: the child must mandatorily validate his/her card on each boarding of the bus or tram.
- With Lignes d'Azur Métropolitains transport tickets: unlimited connections within 74 minutes and in the same direction of travel (i.e. no return trip possible).
- With the Ticket Azur: only one connection possible with the Lignes d'Azur metropolitan network. If you wish to make more connections, you can take a Lignes d'Azur or Carte Azur subscription.
My 1-trip ticket will be valid for 74 minutes with connections, as on the current Lignes d'Azur network.
By travelling on our network:
- A bus trip emits 144 grams of CO2e per kilometre.
- A tram trip emits 2 grams of CO2e per kilometre.
